Whenever I spot a fox in the woods it feels like I've experienced something magical and mysterious. And maybe I have, as foxes are said to be a connection to the spirit world. I'd like to think this little fox print in an expression of the beauty beyond our physical world, a reminder that there is an entire cosmos on the other side of this reality.

Charity

Though this collection is a reflection of our visions beyond this earthly place, we solidly live here in this physical earth. As a woman entrepreneur, I am aware of the privileges that have allowed me to create and dedicate my life to art. I'd like to give back to my fellow earth women. A portion of all sales are being donated to Kiva. Kiva is a charity that empowers entrepreneurial women to access safe and affordable capital to start their own small businesses.

FAQ

Q - Why is it so expensive?

A - Things can only be made cheaply when either someone is underpaid or it's completely automated. Unfortunately, machines haven't taken over all labor yet. So in the meantime we pay a premium for high quality fabrics and labor. While an average top may cost $5 for Forever 21 to make, we pay anywhere from $30-$50. That means on a $68 dollar top, profit may be $30-40 which then must cover operating expenses (website fees, shipping containers, freight charges), taxes, and payroll. Our end of the day profit is closer to $3-6. If we did this for the money, we'd be in the wrong industry. We do this to make an amazing garment you'll love for years.

Q - When are sold out items restocked?

A - Never. Nothing gold can stay. Each piece is specially designed for the vibe and spirit of the season. Once it's gone, it's gone!

Q - Where is it made and who makes it?

A - We only work with small family owned shops employing 8-10 people paying well above minimum wage in Los Angeles, CA.

Q - Is it sustainable and organic?

A - Anyone who claims sustainability while producing a product is greenwashing, intentional or not. We are responsible. To be truly sustainable we should all be wearing undyed, unisex, 100% recycled fabric scraps, government issued uniforms for 5-10 years at a time. While we are not that, we are much, much better than most of the alternatives out there. Our fabric is 99% closed loop, low plastic, made with fair wages, GOTS certified dyed, water based inked, and we donate money to a new charity every month. We will never stop seeking more ways to be make a cleaner and more beautiful piece of clothing!

Our clothing is special. It's inspired by the magic and awe of nature and the seasons, but beyond that it's as ethical and sustainable as possible. Purusha People is made in the USA, plant-based, nontoxic, manufactured safely and fairly paid, and 10% of profits going to a unique charity with every drop. We know our stuff is expensive, but that's because it's made the right way. It's worth the investment in ourselves, in our planet, and in future generations.

Our creations might look dainty and even reserved for special occasions, but they're truly designed for no fuss, everyday wear. As a mom with two young children and two spunky dogs that lives in comfy clothes, I can't be bothered with spending lots of money on clothes that I won't wear often and that won't hold up over time. I've worn our clothing throughout pregnancies, breastfeeding, hiking, running, yoga, and everything in between. You can also just throw your pieces in the wash without special treatment.

If your Purusha doesn't hold up for you, I promise to always repair or replace it, no questions asked. I adore our creations and stand behind them! I respect you and your support more than I can say.

Much love,

Hayley

    Spirit animal flowy pants ❤️

Love these pants! The colors, fox print, and unique flowing style. The high waist is rather high, but cozy, and goes well with just a bra type top, leotard, or crop top. Another thoughtful, beautiful Purusha piece!

    Super cute and soft

I adore Purusha products. Super well made. Unique and flattering. Super sad about the prices, very prohibitive. I can only purchase sale items and barely can afford those.

    Best pants ever

I think I’ve officially fallen for the purushapeople cult. I’ve bought both the purple and now these hippie pants. I’m literally so obsessed with the quality, I follow Hayley on tik tok and IG and keep up with all the drops. I’ve never been one to buy myself clothing but this brand is literally the only brand I buy myself clothes from- not even kidding. It makes me feel good to buy something that is sustainable, will last forever and supports a fellow mom. :-) please keep releasing more of these pants :-) hehe
