FAQ

Q - Why is it so expensive?

A - Things can only be made cheaply when either someone is underpaid or it's completely automated. Unfortunately, machines haven't taken over all labor yet. So in the meantime we pay a premium for high quality fabrics and labor. While an average top may cost $5 for Forever 21 to make, we pay anywhere from $30-$50. That means on a $68 dollar top, profit may be $30-40 which then must cover operating expenses (website fees, shipping containers, freight charges), taxes, and payroll. Our end of the day profit is closer to $3-$6. If we did this for the money, we'd be in the wrong industry. We do this to make an amazing garment you'll love for years.

Q - When are sold out items restocked?

A - Never. Nothing gold can stay. Each piece is specially designed for the vibe and spirit of the season. Once it's gone, it's gone!

Q - Where is it made and who makes it?

A - We only work with small family owned shops employing 8-10 people paying well above minimum wage in Los Angeles, CA.

Q - Is it sustainable and organic?

A - Anyone who claims sustainability while producing a product is greenwashing, intentional or not. We are responsible. To be truly sustainable we should all be wearing undyed, unisex, 100% recycled fabric scraps, government issued uniforms for 5-10 years at a time. While we are not that, we are much, much better than most of the alternatives out there. Our fabric is 99% closed loop, low plastic, made with fair wages, GOTS certified dyed, water based inked, and we donate money to a new charity every month. We will never stop seeking more ways to be make a cleaner and more beautiful piece of clothing!

OUR CLOTHING IS SOMETHING SPECIAL.

These clothes might look dainty and even reserved for special occasions, but they're truly designed for no fuss, everyday wear. I've worn Purusha throughout pregnancies, breastfeeding, hiking, running, yoga, and everything in between. You can also just throw your pieces in the wash without special treatment. If your Purusha doesn't hold up for you, I promise to always repair or replace it, no questions asked.

Much love,

    A Very Happy Hippie

These pants are a beautiful cut and design. I opted for a size small they fit well but I may have preferred the tighter waist band in an XS. Typically, I’m a 26-27 in pants.

I love the feel of the material, flattering drape, and flowy legs. After wearing for a while I noticed the pockets outline shows through the front of the pant. However, I would gladly take slightly visible pockets over no pockets. The visibility also seems to depend on lighting. The color is almost identical to my Redwood Moon Purusha top, making a fun set (see photos). Overall I’m a happy hippie in the happy hippie pants!

    My favorite pants yet!

Yet another super comfy, gorgeous style and design from PP! The care and love that goes into these creations is evident - from the artwork to every last stitch. I'm 5'3", and the size small hits right at my heels. They are the perfect length. I love this loose, flowy style and don't plan on taking these off any time soon :) The material is very soft and drapes beautifully. It's light yet somehow at the same time feels durable and is completely opaque. Hayley and team have done it again!!

    Love Love Love Love

These are my new favorite Purusha piece. The only time I will be taking them off is to change into the purple butterfly pair I was lucky enough to snag from this drop hehehe ✨ Hayley makes the most beautiful wearable art crafted with love and intention that shines through each piece. I love supporting a woman owned business, especially so when it is a woman who cares deeply about the planet and the humans who inhabit it. Thank you thank you thank you ❣

    Favorite pants ever!

They fit perfectly, love the snug waist and wide loose legs. Love these around the house and out and about. Feels special to have the solar/sacral activation. And buttery soft fabric…. 11/10!
