Do you believe in past lives? Have we all been here before? No one knows for sure, but sometimes, in those deja vu moments, I swear this isn't my first rodeo. In the simplest sense, we do all come from something material, and we return to that same material. I've heard that children are so happy and bright because they came from the otherworld, from eternal love, such a short time ago. They are freshly coming out of that love. As we grow older and the world shapes us, we can forget that we too came from this same source of love. So even if I can't quite get myself to believe in reincarnation, it acts as a metaphor that we have been here before, we've always been here. We came from the beautiful mysterious void, our past life, and we will return to it once we leave this earth. I feel that a crystal shaped from millions of years of the earth evolving is such a beautiful way to remember that as ancient as stones are, we too are ancestors of the great ancients. There lies our past life.

  • INGREDIENTS: 92% forest fiber from acacia, eucalyptus, poplar, pine, spruce, beech, birch, and maple trees grown on tree farms in Eastern Europe, 8% spandex for stretch.
  • FIT: Double layered. Don't wear a bra with this and change your life forever, I'm not kidding.
  • WE CARE DEEPLY: Dyed by hand shades of wine. A silver crystal cluster and white twinkles printed with water based ink on front. Cut, sewn, dyed, and printed in downtown Los Angeles by small family owned shops where creators are paid more than minimum wage. *Please note: Our pieces are dyed by hand, and vary from piece to piece. The tops and bottoms were dyed in separate batches and may not be identical in coloring. This is a sign of a handmade item, and makes your pieces special. We are not a mass produced brand.*

Our clothing is special. It's inspired by the magic and awe of nature and the seasons, but beyond that it's as ethical and sustainable as possible. Purusha People is made in the USA, plant-based, nontoxic, manufactured safely and fairly paid, and 10% of profits going to a unique charity with every drop. We know our stuff is expensive, but that's because it's made the right way. It's worth the investment in ourselves, in our planet, and in future generations.

Our creations might look dainty and even reserved for special occasions, but they're truly designed for no fuss, everyday wear. As a mom with two young children and two spunky dogs that lives in comfy clothes, I can't be bothered with spending lots of money on clothes that I won't wear often and that won't hold up over time. I've worn our clothing throughout pregnancies, breastfeeding, hiking, running, yoga, and everything in between. You can also just throw your pieces in the wash without special treatment.

If your Purusha doesn't hold up for you, I promise to always repair or replace it, no questions asked. I adore our creations and stand behind them! I respect you and your support more than I can say.

Much love,

Hayley

We're here to make thoughtful, magickal, and ethical clothing for the modern yogi. We believe clothes created to play in prakriti (Sanskrit for our material world) should be as purusha (Sanskrit for the one that sees, the spirit within us all) as possible. This means: made in the USA, plant-based, nontoxic, safe and fairly paid working conditions, and 10% of profits going to a unique charity with every drop. We know our stuff is expensive, but that's because it's made the right way.
