Our Promise To You
Because We Love Everyone And Everything On The Earth
We're a small, family owned business dedicated to honoring the planet and her people by producing in the USA with only sustainable materials. We produce clothing in small batches with limited inventory to reduce waste, employ independent women artists and creatives, and vow to be as transparent as possible in all our processes.
We strongly believe plastics and forever chemicals that coat polyesters and nylons for wrinkle and stain resistance do not belong on our bodies, and are harming us in ways unseen at the moment. Our clothing is made from 92% plant-based materials- Lenzing certified lyocell tencel and 8% spandex. Spring of 2025 we will be phasing in a plant-based spandex!
Our main line is made from Lenzing certified tencel lyocell. We call it forest fiber, and it is a tree pulp fiber grown specifically on sustainable tree farms. Our forest fiber is vastly different from traditional bamboo, viscose, or rayon because it only requires one organic and non-toxic compound in a closed loop (never dumped, always reused), called NMMO (google it!) to process it, and it is guaranteed to not be harvested from old growth trees.
We are so proud to say Purusha clothing is made from start to finish in Los Angeles, CA. We’re knit, cut, and sewn in small family owned shops, dyed in a responsible dye house dedicated to low impact dyes, and screen printed in a clean and safe print shop with water-based ink. All people are paid at least minimum wage ($18/hr) and we abide by the stringent workplace and environmental laws of California.

I was scared to spend the money on my first Purusha purchase but I really love the color and high quality feel of the pants. I've got long legs and was scared about length but they're perfect and the long waist band is awesome. There was a little hole in the pocket when they arrived but I don't mind sewing that up quick and everything else is great.

I LOVE the Purusha Cargo pants! They are the most versatile pieces I own and work in every season. They are adorable with sandals in the warm months and Dr Martens in the cold ones! I look forward to seeing some in a Crystal dye hopefully in the future! I wear size medium and am 135lbs, 5' 6" with about a 38" hip. I could probably get by with a small if I wanted a fitted look but I like them comfy.

This was my first pair of cargos that I tried - I feel like they’re so cute on other people. They were definitely comfy and fit fine but the waist band was SOOO high on me - like higher than my belly button and almost on my ribs. I didn’t feel like I could roll them down either without looking weird so I’ll be returning these!

I adore my mushroom cargo pants. I ordered large because mediums sold out in a flash. Worried about the fit but they are just great. They drape beautifully and are so soft and comfortable. They were slightly damaged in transit and I was totally thrilled with the customer resolution. Such a great company in every way.

I am OBSESSED with these bottoms! Please don’t ever stop making these. I love the genie pants so so much but these are #1 for me. They are so soft and cozy and they fit perfectly. Wore these while trippin and they were so comforting. Felt like the warmest, most loving hug from Mother Earth. If I didn’t have to, I’d never take them off. The waistband is so versatile! Sometimes I wear the waistband normally and other times I fold it down. The drawstring couldn’t have been more perfect. Seriously can’t wait to add more to my wardrobe. To have a pair for every day of the week would be a dream come true! I love all the mushy prints and hope to see many more :)

These are my 4th pair of pants from Purusha and instantly became my absolute favorite. I have 3 pairs of genie pants which I LIVE in. Literally live in, as well as a tank that I also live in. These pants by far are the cutest and most comfortable ever. With the drawstring, they can be worn as high-rise or low-rise, and neither styles look weird even with the tie. I am usually a size S in the genie pants and they’re more snug than loose if anything but I read that for these pants that they were a bit tighter on the leg portion so I decided to size up… and I am SO glad I did. The transition between my actual skin and the pants is flawless. It feels like i’m wearing soft air. They fit flawlessly. Not tight, not loose. Right in between, and by sizing up I managed to have more of that “genie” style pant size that I had originally desired instead of the intended “joggery” style that I am not a huge fan of. Green is my favorite color and I love mushies and pockets so when I saw this I knew I needed them in my life. I feel like they’re softer than my genie pants. MY FAV clothing from Purusha BY FAR! Well worth the price and it feels good to wear the softest, most buttery eco friendly clothing all from a SMALL BUSINESS. If anyone reading wants to buy from Purusha but is worried about the price tag- DO IT. So worth it. I usually do affirm, so I pay payments so I am not spending a huge chunk of my paycheck for a clothing item.
