Our Promise To You
Because We Love Everyone And Everything On The Earth
We're a small, family owned business dedicated to honoring the planet and her people by producing in the USA with only sustainable materials. We produce clothing in small batches with limited inventory to reduce waste, employ independent women artists and creatives, and vow to be as transparent as possible in all our processes.
We strongly believe plastics and forever chemicals that coat polyesters and nylons for wrinkle and stain resistance do not belong on our bodies, and are harming us in ways unseen at the moment. Our clothing is made from 92% plant-based materials- Lenzing certified lyocell tencel and 8% spandex. Spring of 2025 we will be phasing in a plant-based spandex!
Our main line is made from Lenzing certified tencel lyocell. We call it forest fiber, and it is a tree pulp fiber grown specifically on sustainable tree farms. Our forest fiber is vastly different from traditional bamboo, viscose, or rayon because it only requires one organic and non-toxic compound in a closed loop (never dumped, always reused), called NMMO (google it!) to process it, and it is guaranteed to not be harvested from old growth trees.
We are so proud to say Purusha clothing is made from start to finish in Los Angeles, CA. We’re knit, cut, and sewn in small family owned shops, dyed in a responsible dye house dedicated to low impact dyes, and screen printed in a clean and safe print shop with water-based ink. All people are paid at least minimum wage ($18/hr) and we abide by the stringent workplace and environmental laws of California.

Love the mauvewood robe! Its such a beautiful color and the print on the back is also gorgeous. It’s stretchy and soft and comfortable. The sleeve do run just a tad tight but it’s a personal preference.

Love this robe!! The color makes me so happy! It’s soft and stretchy, the pockets are nice and roomy. I’ve been wearing it daily since I received!

I know that this wasn’t the most popular piece to be released. I thought I’d try it out, and I’m so glad that I did! The color is gorgeous- I feel like pictures don’t do it justice. And it’s so comfy. Ive worn it every day since it’s come in the mail.

I basically live in this robe at home lol. So incredibly soft and comfortable! The rose color is one of my most flattering colors, so I feel extra beautiful in it. The moon design in the back is gorgeous! I bought a 1x and I typically wear 8-10 in US clothing sizes. It fits me well, but I suggest sizing up from what you may typically wear in the Purusha People bras/shorts. I get large and extra larges in those items.

This piece is beautiful. I ordered it for my friend but once it arrived I had to order another one for myself. It’s even more beautiful in person. The craftsmanship and quality is outstanding. I am so happy I found this wonderful line of incredible clothing and art.

I'm not normally a robe gal but as the description says, this is not a robe! It's not meant to close across the chest and is instead more like a cardigan. I work from home and I pretty much live in this. I have it in both this color and the blue and they're beautifully crafted. The second I put it on my husband told me how flattering it looked. The length is perfect - shorter in the front and longer in the back. I'm normally a S/M and I got it in a medium and it's quite form fitting. I definitely recommend sizing up, maybe even 2 sizes if you're looking for a looser fit.

BUT for me, this was not a Fav. The cut was close for a thick girl like me. I refer a roomier fit.

This was not a good fit for what I was looking for. I was hoping it would be more like a comfy robe, but it was tight fitting across the shoulders and the front wouldn’t close at all. Had to send it back unfortunately.
