Please note that Purusha People clothing is handmade by our skilled artisans in Los Angeles, and our unique process allows for subtle differences in each piece. Forest fiber tencel, garment dye, and screen printing require special processes that are unlike other brands. Please enjoy your clothing as the special item it is, and celebrate its rarity!
We accept returns and exchanges up to 14 days from the item delivery date. Clothing must be unworn, unwashed, unscented, pet-hair free, and in new condition.
Exchanges for store credit are free. You can get store credit and save it for later, or shop instantly. If you opt for store credit for later, you’ll receive a gift card as soon as your return item is in transit.
Refunds are subject to a $15 handling fee to cover the return shipping label and warehouse fees. Refunds are credited via the same method you paid within 5 business days of receiving. Shipping is nonrefundable.
Underwear is only eligible for returns if the item has not been tried on. Please try underwear on over your existing underwear if you'd like the option to return.

We're a small, family owned business dedicated to honoring the planet and her people by producing in the USA with only sustainable materials. We produce clothing in small batches with limited inventory to reduce waste, employ independent women artists and creatives, and vow to be as transparent as possible in all our processes.
We strongly believe plastics and forever chemicals that coat polyesters and nylons for wrinkle and stain resistance do not belong on our bodies, and are harming us in ways unseen at the moment. Our clothing is made from 92% plant-based materials- Lenzing certified lyocell tencel and 8% spandex. Spring of 2025 we will be phasing in a plant-based spandex!
Our main line is made from Lenzing certified tencel lyocell. We call it forest fiber, and it is a tree pulp fiber grown specifically on sustainable tree farms. Our forest fiber is vastly different from traditional bamboo, viscose, or rayon because it only requires one organic and non-toxic compound in a closed loop (never dumped, always reused), called NMMO (google it!) to process it, and it is guaranteed to not be harvested from old growth trees.
We are so proud to say Purusha clothing is made from start to finish in Los Angeles, CA. We’re knit, cut, and sewn in small family owned shops, dyed in a responsible dye house dedicated to low impact dyes, and screen printed in a clean and safe print shop with water-based ink. All people are paid at least minimum wage ($18/hr) and we abide by the stringent workplace and environmental laws of California.

I have lots of clothing from Purusha people but this is my first pair of leggings. They are so soft and flattering and they look so magical. I ordered a size M which is my usual size. I am 5’3 and 125lbs with an athletic build. So comfy!

I don't think anyone makes better leggings. I'm often frustrated that "standard" inseams make it so that taller people constantly have to settle for cropped fits (I'm 175 cm), but I was pleasantly surprised by where these land.

I didn’t think these leggings would be much different than the regular store bought ones I already own. When these went on sale I decided to give ‘em a go. Upon arrival they looked too tiny and I thought they’d be a nope. I was SO wrong. Buttery soft and curve hugging in just the right way! I have a feeling I’ll be replacing all my old leggings with Purusha over the next year because I never want to take them off - and to think these were the only part of my order I was having regrets about before they arrived! Now my only regret is that I didn’t get more leggings during that great sale! Thank you ! ❤
