Our Promise To You
Because We Love Everyone And Everything On The Earth
We're a small, family owned business dedicated to honoring the planet and her people by producing in the USA with only sustainable materials. We produce clothing in small batches with limited inventory to reduce waste, employ independent women artists and creatives, and vow to be as transparent as possible in all our processes.
We strongly believe plastics and forever chemicals that coat polyesters and nylons for wrinkle and stain resistance do not belong on our bodies, and are harming us in ways unseen at the moment. Our clothing is made from 92% plant-based materials- Lenzing certified lyocell tencel and 8% spandex. Spring of 2025 we will be phasing in a plant-based spandex!
Our main line is made from Lenzing certified tencel lyocell. We call it forest fiber, and it is a tree pulp fiber grown specifically on sustainable tree farms. Our forest fiber is vastly different from traditional bamboo, viscose, or rayon because it only requires one organic and non-toxic compound in a closed loop (never dumped, always reused), called NMMO (google it!) to process it, and it is guaranteed to not be harvested from old growth trees.
We are so proud to say Purusha clothing is made from start to finish in Los Angeles, CA. We’re knit, cut, and sewn in small family owned shops, dyed in a responsible dye house dedicated to low impact dyes, and screen printed in a clean and safe print shop with water-based ink. All people are paid at least minimum wage ($18/hr) and we abide by the stringent workplace and environmental laws of California.
Reviews
- CCylesaVerified BuyerI recommend this productRated 4 out of 5 starsNov 13, 2022Very comfy
I got a size smaller in these ones than the other style I ordered and as suspected these were very loose I'm glad I got a large instead of 1x. It's tight on your belly and waist which is very flattering while still giving you room to breath I actually get skin issues and I'm not supposed to wear tight clothing but everything loose is always unflattering on me. The tight waist helps a little bit with that. The color is slightly less tealish than the photo online but that's OK. I am 5'6" size 16 and 200 pounds but I know I would've been unhappy with the 1x it would've been too much extra fabric. Depends on how loose you want them.
More people should leave reviews so new customers don't have to order multiple sizes because we don't know how it fits, and then stuck with a handling fee. But if you wait nothing is ever available in your size.
