Our Promise To You
Because We Love Everyone And Everything On The Earth

We're a small, family owned business dedicated to honoring the planet and her people by producing in the USA with only sustainable materials. We produce clothing in small batches with limited inventory to reduce waste, employ independent women artists and creatives, and vow to be as transparent as possible in all our processes.

We strongly believe plastics and forever chemicals that coat polyesters and nylons for wrinkle and stain resistance do not belong on our bodies, and are harming us in ways unseen at the moment. Our clothing is made from 92% plant-based materials- Lenzing certified lyocell tencel and 8% spandex. Spring of 2025 we will be phasing in a plant-based spandex!

Our main line is made from Lenzing certified tencel lyocell. We call it forest fiber, and it is a tree pulp fiber grown specifically on sustainable tree farms. Our forest fiber is vastly different from traditional bamboo, viscose, or rayon because it only requires one organic and non-toxic compound in a closed loop (never dumped, always reused), called NMMO (google it!) to process it, and it is guaranteed to not be harvested from old growth trees.

We are so proud to say Purusha clothing is made from start to finish in Los Angeles, CA. We’re knit, cut, and sewn in small family owned shops, dyed in a responsible dye house dedicated to low impact dyes, and screen printed in a clean and safe print shop with water-based ink. All people are paid at least minimum wage ($18/hr) and we abide by the stringent workplace and environmental laws of California.

This is my 2nd Purusha People dress! I absolutely love it. I live in Northern Arizona, so the Winters aren't too cold during the day. I wore this dress with a cute jean jacket and a pair of moccasins and felt like a princess! I love the moon design, the fabric, the color, the length, the comfort and the pockets! I may need this dress in all the colors of the rainbow...

Such a beautiful, high-quality piece! The fabric is amazingly soft and durable. I am a size 6-8 (5’6” 137lbs, 34dd) and went with a M. It’s my first Purusha piece. At first try-on I was concerned it might be too snug, but it fits perfectly snug. It hugs my breasts so I don’t need any sort of bra. I’m sure the L would have fit nicely too. I’d say I’m probably between sizes. I might try a large in the future to see how that feels too. Love the color, style, and fit!!

I love this dress so much! My usual size is a size M in everything Purusha. I went off other reviews for these dresses that said to size up because the arms are a little tight, but I could have gone with my regular size. If I get another I will be getting my normal size M rather than a L! I’m 5’3, 125lbs, and the bust is a little loose but it’s so cozy and still so flattering. The color is GORGEOUS! I’m very happy in my dress. I haven’t taken it off since I put it on for the first time earlier today

I've been wearing this dress every Saturday since it arrived! Chilling at home, running errands, or lately to lots of Holiday Parties. I ordered a Large, the same size I order for bra tops, and true to the description the dress does fit a bit more snug. That being said, after about 3 wears (no wash yet) the fabric has relaxed to the contours of my body and gets more cozy and cuddly each time. Super pleased, I hope to add spring & summer purusha people dresses to my collection soon.

This is pretty much a dream dress of mine. The color is exquisite, and the design is simple, comfy, and flattering. It’s just so beautiful and functional. I’m technically an XS on the size chart, but I always size up to small or medium because I don’t like my clothes squeezing me, and the medium in this dress is perfect. Can’t recommend it enough!
