Our Promise To You
Because We Love Everyone And Everything On The Earth
We're a small, family owned business dedicated to honoring the planet and her people by producing in the USA with only sustainable materials. We produce clothing in small batches with limited inventory to reduce waste, employ independent women artists and creatives, and vow to be as transparent as possible in all our processes.
We strongly believe plastics and forever chemicals that coat polyesters and nylons for wrinkle and stain resistance do not belong on our bodies, and are harming us in ways unseen at the moment. Our clothing is made from 92% plant-based materials- Lenzing certified lyocell tencel and 8% spandex. Spring of 2025 we will be phasing in a plant-based spandex!
Our main line is made from Lenzing certified tencel lyocell. We call it forest fiber, and it is a tree pulp fiber grown specifically on sustainable tree farms. Our forest fiber is vastly different from traditional bamboo, viscose, or rayon because it only requires one organic and non-toxic compound in a closed loop (never dumped, always reused), called NMMO (google it!) to process it, and it is guaranteed to not be harvested from old growth trees.
We are so proud to say Purusha clothing is made from start to finish in Los Angeles, CA. We’re knit, cut, and sewn in small family owned shops, dyed in a responsible dye house dedicated to low impact dyes, and screen printed in a clean and safe print shop with water-based ink. All people are paid at least minimum wage ($18/hr) and we abide by the stringent workplace and environmental laws of California.

Oops! I reviewed the boyshorts on the tank accidentally! The tank didn't work for me only because it bunched up between the girls and my belly, so I returned it and got more undies because they are stellar and I feel like a goddess in them.

I love these underwear. I buy every pair that comes out. They are so comfortable and I love the way they fit. I only used to buy cotton for breathability but I get that with these. I don't buy underwear anywhere else anymore. The sustainability of this company and its fair pay make it easy to spend a little extra on a pair. Screw Victoria's Secret anyways, never been a shopper there. I also love how they have the matching sports like bras.

Overall these underwear are excellent quality and beautiful looking. My only issue with them is the size. I ordered an XS which is what I wear in all Purusha clothing and underwear so far (Small has always been too big around my waist), however I found that the leg openings are slightly too tight around my thighs and the inseam is so short that it easily rolls up. Might be wise to size up on these!

These are the first boy shorts I've purchased from Purusha People and I absolutely adore them. They are so comfy, soft, and flattering!

I have always loved boy shorts, but the leg opening always dig into my big thighs. Not these. They feel like a second skin. I hope they retain the softness and fit over time, then I will buy all the colors.
