Mushrooms flourish and thrive in unlikely places, they decompose matter that is dead and done with its cycle in our land of the living. I created this print and color palette to remember that we can look to the shrooms in dark moments, to discover a rebirth from something we thought was lost and gone.
INGREDIENTS: 92% forest fiber from acacia, eucalyptus, poplar, pine, spruce, beech, birch, and maple trees grown on tree farms in Eastern Europe, 8% spandex for stretch.
Deep rich chocolate brown (with a maroon tint!) and mint colored moons and shrooms printed with water based ink. Cut, sewn, dyed, and printed in downtown Los Angeles by small family owned shops where creators are paid more than minimum wage.

Our Promise To You
Because We Love Everyone And Everything On The Earth
We're a small, family owned business dedicated to honoring the planet and her people by producing in the USA with only sustainable materials. We produce clothing in small batches with limited inventory to reduce waste, employ independent women artists and creatives, and vow to be as transparent as possible in all our processes.
We strongly believe plastics and forever chemicals that coat polyesters and nylons for wrinkle and stain resistance do not belong on our bodies, and are harming us in ways unseen at the moment. Our clothing is made from 92% plant-based materials- Lenzing certified lyocell tencel and 8% spandex. Spring of 2025 we will be phasing in a plant-based spandex!
Our main line is made from Lenzing certified tencel lyocell. We call it forest fiber, and it is a tree pulp fiber grown specifically on sustainable tree farms. Our forest fiber is vastly different from traditional bamboo, viscose, or rayon because it only requires one organic and non-toxic compound in a closed loop (never dumped, always reused), called NMMO (google it!) to process it, and it is guaranteed to not be harvested from old growth trees.
We are so proud to say Purusha clothing is made from start to finish in Los Angeles, CA. We’re knit, cut, and sewn in small family owned shops, dyed in a responsible dye house dedicated to low impact dyes, and screen printed in a clean and safe print shop with water-based ink. All people are paid at least minimum wage ($18/hr) and we abide by the stringent workplace and environmental laws of California.

I LOVE this top! I was surprised how supportive it is with the two layers of fabrics. It's also sooo soft! It's a purchase to feel good about!

This is my second top from Purusha People, because as soon as I tried on the first top I bought, I ordered another right away. These tops are so well made: double-layered for support and durability, and the feel of the forest fiber is so soft. I'm 5'2", typically a 32D, and the small fits like a dream. I don't need to wear a bra with this top on, and it is so freeing! This piece is very versatile, and the little mushrooms are adorable. I would give this more than 5 stars if I could!
