Our Promise To You
Because We Love Everyone And Everything On The Earth
We're a small, family owned business dedicated to honoring the planet and her people by producing in the USA with only sustainable materials. We produce clothing in small batches with limited inventory to reduce waste, employ independent women artists and creatives, and vow to be as transparent as possible in all our processes.
We strongly believe plastics and forever chemicals that coat polyesters and nylons for wrinkle and stain resistance do not belong on our bodies, and are harming us in ways unseen at the moment. Our clothing is made from 92% plant-based materials- Lenzing certified lyocell tencel and 8% spandex. Spring of 2025 we will be phasing in a plant-based spandex!
Our main line is made from Lenzing certified tencel lyocell. We call it forest fiber, and it is a tree pulp fiber grown specifically on sustainable tree farms. Our forest fiber is vastly different from traditional bamboo, viscose, or rayon because it only requires one organic and non-toxic compound in a closed loop (never dumped, always reused), called NMMO (google it!) to process it, and it is guaranteed to not be harvested from old growth trees.
We are so proud to say Purusha clothing is made from start to finish in Los Angeles, CA. We’re knit, cut, and sewn in small family owned shops, dyed in a responsible dye house dedicated to low impact dyes, and screen printed in a clean and safe print shop with water-based ink. All people are paid at least minimum wage ($18/hr) and we abide by the stringent workplace and environmental laws of California.
this is my favorite Purusha top, well it's my favorite shirt period. It's amazingly comfortable, the fabric is very soft and the color is beautiful. It fits perfectly. I would love to have more of these shirts in the same and other colors.
Yesterday I wore this top for the first time to a gentle yoga class. The fabric is soft and comfortable through movements. I gave this 4 stars because the sleeves are a little tight in the upper arm/arm pit area than I typically like. For my body, the length is shorter than I like but worked well over a yoga onesie.
The length of the shirt is just perfect! I have a very petite frame at 4’11” and shirt hits right below my belly button. I’m kind of over the cropped fit of shirts that are so popular, so this was such a great fit for me! I loved it so much I bought it in the other color.
I’ve been waiting for Purusha long sleeve tops to drop for a while and so I ordered several with this drop! I love the material, it feels so luxurious on my skin! I am 125 lbs and 5’3 and I wear a M. The arms aren’t too tight but tight enough. Probably could wear a L but I’m happy with the M!
