Purusha People ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It applies to purusha­people.com and any communications you receive from us.

• Order information — items purchased, order value, payment method (we never see or store your full card number; see Section 4)

• Marketing preferences — your email and SMS subscription choices

Information collected automatically:

• Device and browsing data — IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring site, and time spent on the site

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

• Process and fulfill your orders, including shipping, returns, and exchanges
• Communicate with you about your orders and respond to customer service requests
• Send marketing emails and text messages, only with your consent (see Section 3)

3. Email and SMS Marketing

Email: If you opt in to email marketing, we'll send you updates about new products, restocks, and promotions through our email platform, Klaviyo. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email or by contacting us at hello@purushapeople.com.

SMS: If you opt in to text messages, you'll receive recurring automated marketing messages at the phone number you provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We will never sell your phone number or email address to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Payment Processing

Our store is hosted on Shopify. If you complete a purchase using a direct payment gateway, your payment information is processed and encrypted in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your payment card data is used only as long as necessary to complete your transaction. We do not store your full credit card information on our own systems.

5. Service Providers We Share Information With

We share personal information with a small number of service providers who help us run our business. Each is permitted to use your information only to provide services to us:

6. Advertising and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, and the Meta pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show ads to people who may be interested in our products. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and may collect information such as your IP address and browsing activity on our site.

Under California law, the use of advertising cookies like the Meta pixel may be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time — see Section 8.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out tool, and manage your ad preferences directly with Meta through your Facebook or Instagram settings.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your cart, analyze traffic, and support advertising. When you first visit our site, our cookie consent banner (powered by Consentmo) lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. We may "share" personal information (as defined by the CPRA) with advertising partners such as Meta for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out via our cookie consent banner, the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on our site, or by emailing us
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA beyond what is necessary to process your orders
• Right to non-discrimination — we will never deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your privacy rights

Categories of personal information we collect (as defined by the CCPA): identifiers (name, email, phone, address, IP address); commercial information (purchase history); internet activity (browsing behavior on our site); and geolocation data (approximate location inferred from IP address).

We will verify your identity (typically by confirming the email address associated with your order history) and respond within 45 days. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

9. Data Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:

• Order and transaction records — retained as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes
• Marketing data — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Analytics data — retained per the default retention settings of our analytics providers

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

10. Security

We take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our site is served over SSL/TLS encryption, and payment data is handled in accordance with PCI-DSS requirements. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work with providers who maintain strong security standards.

Our store is operated from the United States and primarily serves US customers. If you visit or purchase from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, and objection to processing.
