Solstice Shroom Twisted Top
The plants have turned brown, the sky is gray. But the snow, the snow is white. And the evergreens are greener than ever against the blazing winter sunsets and snow capped trees. When the obvious beauty is stripped away, I notice the more simple and subtle beauties. In the winter we have to dig a little deeper for the warmth and the light. It's always there, we just need to open our awareness to see it.Â
These evergreen sets are dedicated to the trees that stay forever green, as my son Shep says. Every year he mourns our beloved marigolds cracking into shriveled brown stalks of dead matter;Â but when I remind him the evergreens are the same, he feels like he can handle 6 months without flowers. We can too. The flowers are biding their time, warm in the earth, waiting to always return.
