SizeXS

  • INGREDIENTS: 92% forest fiber from acacia, eucalyptus, poplar, pine, spruce, beech, birch, and maple trees grown on tree farms in Eastern Europe, 8% spandex for stretch.
  • FIT: Double layered so no bra needed, I swear! The comfiest bra top you'll ever wear. Slightly shorter and more bra like than our OG bra top, and breezy spaghetti straps. Natasha is wearing size M and is 5’8”, 32” waist, 37.5” bust, 44” hip.

Dyed solid black. White moon phase printed on front with water based ink. Cut, sewn, dyed, and printed in downtown Los Angeles by small family owned shops where creators are paid more than minimum wage.

Every piece is crafted entirely in the USA with uncompromising attention to detail.

We knit our fabrics in Los Angeles, work with a GOTS-certified dye house, and print exclusively with water-based inks. Every design is created in collaboration with female artists, and all of our production partners are small, family-owned studios located within a 25-mile radius of downtown LA, bringing our vision to life with care and integrity.

    Our Promise To You

Because We Love Everyone And Everything On The Earth

    ETHICALLY MADE

Each piece is ethically made in the USA, sewn in small batches by skilled workers earning fair wages. We prioritize safe, respectful working conditions and local production to ensure every garment reflects the values we stand for- quality, integrity, and care.

    POLYESTER FREE

Our clothing is free from polyester and traditional petroleum-based synthetics. We use plant-based TENCEL™ and a small amount of Creora® bio-based spandex for stretch- derived in part from renewable resources, but not yet fully plastic free and biodegradable. It's a step toward cleaner, safer clothing for your skin and the planet.

    PLANT BASED

We use plant-based fabrics like TENCEL™ lyocell, ECOVERO™ viscose, and organic cotton, blended with Creora® bio-based spandex for gentle stretch. While the spandex still contains some petroleum, it’s partially derived from renewable sources—making it a better option than traditional synthetics. The result: soft, breathable, lower-impact clothing that feels as good as it is.

    MADE IN THE USA

Making our clothing in the USA—especially in California—means higher standards across the board. Strict environmental regulations, fair labor laws, and safe working conditions ensure that every piece is made responsibly. It also reduces the carbon footprint of overseas shipping and supports local communities. When you choose USA-made, you’re choosing quality, ethics, and a cleaner planet.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Product & Quality
    1. What makes Purusha People clothing feel so soft and different from regular activewear?

Every piece is made from premium, plant-based or naturally derived fibers selected for softness, breathability, and comfort. Many of our fabrics include TENCEL™ lyocell or other sustainable blends made in small batches. Each garment is dyed and finished in Los Angeles, giving it that signature Purusha feel that is buttery, lived in, and completely unique.

    2. How sustainable is your “forest fiber” and what exactly is TENCEL™ lyocell?

Forest fiber is made from wood pulp that comes from responsibly managed forests. It is produced in a closed-loop system that reuses over 99% of water and solvents, making it one of the most sustainable fabrics available.

    3. Are your dyes and inks non-toxic and safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. We use GOTS-certified, low-impact reactive dyes and water-based inks that meet strict California safety standards. They are non-toxic, biodegradable, and safe for sensitive skin.

    4. Why do some pieces feel slightly different from others in texture or stretch?

Each batch is unique. We knit our fabric in small runs and natural fibers vary slightly depending on the dye lot and humidity. These subtle shifts make every piece a reflection of true craftsmanship.

    5. How are Purusha pieces made and are they really produced in the USA?

Yes. Every Purusha piece is knit, sewn, dyed, and finished in Los Angeles using fair wages and ethical practices. Nothing is outsourced overseas.

    6. Is your clothing see-through or sheer in lighter colors?

No. Our fabric is dense and garment-dyed for full coverage. Lighter colors may appear softer in tone but remain opaque and supportive.

    7. How long does Purusha clothing typically last with regular wear?

With proper care, for years. Our pieces are designed to outlast trends and move with you through everyday life.

    8. Why are your products more expensive than other yoga or loungewear brands?

Because we choose people and planet over profit. Each piece is made in Los Angeles from sustainable fibers and low-impact dyes. We pay living wages and produce in small batches to reduce waste. The result is clothing that lasts years, not seasons.

    9. What does “garment-dyed” mean and how does it affect my clothing’s look and feel?

Garment dyeing means we dye each finished piece after it’s sewn. This gives every garment a soft, lived-in feel and a slightly varied tone that makes each item one of a kind.

    10. Are your fabrics vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. We use only plant-based fibers and vegan-friendly dyes. No silk, wool, or animal byproducts are ever used.

    11. Why might the color look different in person than in photos?

Natural light, dye batches, and screen settings can slightly shift color appearance. We photograph each drop in natural light without heavy editing, but small variations are normal and part of the beauty of small-batch dyeing.

    Fit, Sizing & Use
    12. How do I choose the right size if I am between two?

Our fabric has plenty of stretch. Choose your usual size for a sculpted fit or size up for a more relaxed feel. You can also visit our Sizing Guide to see detailed measurements and photos of different size models.

    13. How consistent is sizing across different fabrics and colors?

Small variations are normal. Cotton basics may feel looser and lighter, while forest fiber pieces have more hold. Each product page lists fit notes for accuracy, and our Sizing Guide shows how each fabric drapes on real bodies.

    14. Do your bra tops work for larger busts or high-impact movement?

Yes. Many customers with fuller busts find our tops supportive and comfortable. For extra support, try a double-lined or thicker-strap style.

    15. I am pregnant or postpartum. Which size should I order?

We recommend going up one size. Our fabric stretches beautifully and accommodates your body through pregnancy and beyond. The tops are also breastfeeding-friendly.

    16. What is the inseam length on your leggings?

Our pocket leggings have a 27-inch inseam that comfortably stretches to around 29 inches.

    17. Can I swim, hike, or do yoga in these pieces?

Yes. The fabric performs like activewear but feels like loungewear. You can swim in freshwater, though we suggest avoiding chlorine.

    18. Will my clothing shrink or stretch out over time?

No. All our pieces are pre-shrunk and built to hold their shape. They will mold gently to your body but never lose form.

    19. How do I wash and care for my pieces so they stay soft and last longer?

Machine wash on gentle with similar colors, inside out, and hang dry or tumble dry low. Avoid hand washing with undissolved detergent, as it may mark garment-dyed pieces.

    20. What should I do if my garment looks slightly different in color or texture?

Because we garment dye finished pieces, small variations in tone or texture are normal and part of what makes each piece unique. If something doesn’t seem right, please email hello@purushapeople.com.

    21. Does this top include a shelf bra or built-in support?

Some tops include built-in support and others do not. Each product page lists this clearly. If you prefer extra hold, look for double-lined or bra top styles.

Each drop is unique and we rarely restock the same design. Our focus is on thoughtful creation, not mass production.

    42. Can I be notified when an item restocks?

Yes. Join the waitlist on each product page or sign up for restock alerts through our newsletter.
