All The Flowers Drop

In late July I am deeply appreciating all the flowers. My tiny backyard garden is bursting with daisies, hydrangea, echinacea, and let's be real, a good amount of weeds too! What makes a flower so beautiful is not just its velvety and delicate petals, brilliant colors, and heavenly scents. It's that these beloved blooms are only here for such a short while. To watch a flower from seed to blossom to its inevitable decay into some green leaves and stalk and finally its death in the fall is a lesson over and over again in impermanence, gratitude, and presence. We too won't live forever, though most days I forget that. Yet if we can be grateful for this very moment in life, no matter how painful or beautiful, it is the ultimate act of presence, power, and peace. To sit today with the flowers, fully knowing that next week they'll be gone, is allowing the Mother and the cosmos to flow through us, heal us, and remind us that our time here is short. Smell the flowers!

A portion of sales from All The Flowers Drop is being donated to Girls Inc. Our girls are like flowers: beautiful, wise, strong, independent, unique, and whole. They deserve safe spaces, amazing teachers, and access to education and resources to become their own version of their favorite rare flower.

August Afternoon Drop

August is the afternoon of summer, the last warm and bright moments until I really can't deny there's a distinct change in the air. These days are still, peaceful, present. These days are sacred because they hold me in a moment in time that is so beautiful, pure, and fleeting. When I live my truth on this plane, in this existence, each moment is a treasure. I am so lucky to be here with you, breathing deeply.

August Indigo

We are moving into that time of year I love. When everything is still. The epic growth of spring and early summer have gone by, and now the plants, flowers, bugs, and air can just be. Exhale. There is this pleasant stillness in August, like things could stay this way forever, that the warmth and beauty could never die. Breathing deeply, I settle into the peace that is late summer. I savor the abundance and warmth while it's here. I play in the field and woods with my children and dog, knowing it won't last. All is sweet, all is beautiful.

A portion of sales from August Indigo Drop is being donated to Girls Inc. Our girls are like flowers: beautiful, wise, strong, independent, unique, and whole. Back To Earth Drop

At the middle of the summer I feel and breathe everything a little more deeply. My bare feet touch the ground and I remember I'm made of the earth. The earth and I are one and the same beating heart, celebrating existence in this moment with each breath.

What lies beyond this world is on a knife's edge to what I experience here. Entering (or exiting!) into the everything, the cosmos, is like walking through a doorway from here to there. It's all here already, this love and eternity that sparks my soul and dreams; I only forget this truth when I live like this world is all there is. I feel it in my heart, beating in time with all of life, that I'm light and pure love expressing itself in the most beautiful way for a short while. Forever + Always Drop

“Love is something eternal; the aspect may change, but not the essence.”

– Vincent van Gogh

This collection is dedicated to the parts of our natural world that never die: the perennial flowers that triumphantly push out from under the brown leaves every spring, the plump and jolly bumblebees journeying out from the dark places to feast on rhododendron blossoms in the sun, and the tireless and deathless breath within all living creatures that keeps time with the universe's heart beating. Like love changing over time, nature is everlasting in that it rebirths itself with every new expression of existence. It might not look exactly as it did last year, but I know in my soul the source of all I touch, see, and feel is eternal and undying, forever.

Golden Hour

Autumn sweeps in with harmony and balance to the body and spirit, and equal hours of daylight and night. As this date becomes a memory, we see the balance shift to more darkness and less light. It's not easy to watch our light go. How can we continue to find balance within as the darkness so slowly creeps in, taking a bit more light every day?

Perhaps we don't need to mourn the loss of light, but rather celebrate the light that remains, and the beings, energetic shifts, and plants that inhabit this time so beautifully. I'd like to embody this glow shifting to within, and not without, by dedicating a drop to our beloved mushies! Mushrooms symbolize good health, transformation, and fertility. I don't personally mean fertility as in reproduction (unless that's what you're seeking), but more like a healthy and nurtured headspace with plenty of openness and imagination, fertile ground for our best selves and for our dreams to take root. The mushies in my yard are thriving, and lately have looked so magickal glowing in the earlier setting sun among the golden yellow leaves. It's the mushies' golden hour right now. May we also feel strongly and powerfully that the light, though less, is not diminished. It's warm within and without. The light is perfectly angled to remember that no matter what, this present moment is our golden hour.

A portion of sales from The Golden Hour Drop are being donated to The Soil Association. The Soil Association works to transform the way we eat, farm, and care for our natural world.

Her Universe Drop

Within our bodies we create a world, another being, another life. But with this tremendous power comes tremendous responsibility. We sense deeply inside when and how and where and IF the time is now, tomorrow, or ever to guide another soul from the void to our earthly plane. Holding this energy and deciding for ourselves how we want our life to play out in this space is our birthright. Never, EVER, will this be taken from us. We are vulnerable, sensitive, feminine, ferocious, outraged, divine, the cosmos embodied. We are women. And humanity needs our half, our side, our perspective now more than ever. She is her, you are her, I am her, and her universe belongs to her alone.

A portion of sales for Her Universe Drop are being donated to Center For Reproductive Rights. We will not go backwards.

I Love Me Drop

Only loving what's "good" and acceptable and easy does not allow for completeness. With wisdom and forgiveness over the years we learn to love what makes us weak, and to love what makes us a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. With acceptance and devotion to our entire being, to our light and our dark, we are finally set free. We are whole.

When we love ourselves, we love everything and everyone else. Love never ever runs out, it never loses. There's never too much love. The more love we make, the more love there is. I love me, I love you.

In Bloom Drop

We all feel it. There is so much pain and sadness in the world, isn't there? But, there is also so much joy, and thousands of ways to experience all the good and all the love.

When it’s time for a flower to bloom, or for yourself to bloom, we have to celebrate. It’s the beautiful and love filled things that make it truly beautiful to be alive. It’s OK in the happy moments to let go of the pain of the past and the pain of others. By celebrating and being happy we are fulfilling our innate right to be joyful.

This collection is unique because each piece is a stand out of its own. Normally I try to design a collection to be cohesive and curated. But somehow these pieces just designed themselves, much like a flower, totally unique and destined to be itself. Each of these pieces celebrates what is in bloom. I hope this clothing inspires you to recognize when it’s your time to bloom, and to find the joy in these precious moments. May we feel them with our entire being: mind, body and soul. May we bloom!

The happiness is out there, in the garden: your hands in the dirt, your arms holding flowers, your eyes and ears seeing flowers bloom and hearing bugs doing their thing. The world spins madly on. We can be outraged and radicalized with the injustices of the world, but also grateful for whatever privileges we still have. The natural world belongs to us all, we belong to it.

Lunar Waves

As our world on the ground is stripped naked of all the greenery and colors we knew and loved for the past six months, I find myself looking to the sky for peace and hope. The winter sunsets, the clear cold starlit nights, the barren brown and grey landscape shiver with a different kind of beauty. They whisper to me, 'there is still so much wonder to behold.'

I remember the earth knows just what to do. The nights are much longer now, I sense the darkness coming more and more in waves, lunar waves. Yet, the moon is still there every night, our constant companion. The longer nights mean the luna energy is present with us longer too. Feel the still, peaceful, steady star and moon energy pulse through our bodies, giving us the light just as we need it now. Let the night sky be our light, the lunar waves our restful sanctuary.

Potent Plants

Plants heal our body, our hearts, and our entire being in a holistic way. Mother Earth's gifts are sacred, and just the remedy for the ailments of our modern world.

Take as needed:

SAGE: Take for trouble seeing the big picture, for a gentle nudge to remember you're not here by accident. Your smile lines and aging are a privilege, not a curse. Sage recalls our innate inner knowing to consciousness.

VALERIAN: Take for overindulging in "busy". Society tells us busy is success, but we forget success is equally found during rest. Valerian restores your doing nothing, just being, and remembering you are not your productivity.

YARROW: Take for blockages between the material world and the spiritual world. Yarrow facilitates energetic shifts to connect with divine messages that are trying to come through.

ELDERBERRY: Take for overexposure to "energy vampires". If someone is coming into your space and weakening your immunity to bad vibes, elderberry provides a positive immunity shield to keep toxicity at bay.

LAVENDER: Take for general feelings of anxiety and loss of sense of self. Lavender calms the soul, stills the body, and nourishes the spirit with grace. We're all imperfect creatures trying our best, and we all contain the essence of the divine.

A portion of sales is going to Herbalists Without Borders. HWB provides compassionate holistic care to communities and countries in need impacted by natural disasters, violent conflicts, poverty, trauma and other access barriers to health and wellness.

Sacred Feminine II Drop

I remember as a young girl being terrified of "womanhood". The day I got my period I cried. I fought with my Mom to not buy a bra. I was taught that sex and sexuality were very shameful outside of marriage (and once you were in marriage... well that was a big mystery never discussed). I felt that becoming a woman meant saying goodbye to childhood, and embracing the sexual side of me was wrong and disgusting. (Ok, that's so sad to type out. But fear not, I do get better!)

Now as an adult with a daughter of my own, I am determined to change the way our girls view menstruation and sexuality. These parts of ourselves must be viewed in a positive, healthy, and even playful light. (The other day my three year old daughter said to me, "I can't wait to get my period!", so hopefully we're already on the right track!) I'm not saying I'm "healed" of my past completely, but I desire to dedicate myself to always evolving and becoming the best version of the woman that I am.

I designed the Sacred Feminine Drop to celebrate what makes us women (and absolutely you don't have to bleed or have a vagina to consider yourself a woman!). We are sacred, peaceful, powerful, compassionate and loving, the creators of life. I bow to you, my sister. May we always reconnect with each other via the divine sacred feminine energy that unites us all.

A portion of proceeds from the Sacred Feminine Drop are being donated to The Cup. The Cup provides reusable menstrual cups to underprivileged girls worldwide, empowering them to stay in school and live with dignity.

The Beach

The seaside contains magic and wisdom. From the depths of the ocean and its wild waters to the gentle tide pools and warm sands on shore, we remember who we are. We're wild and deep, mysterious and turbulent, but also tame and simple, vulnerable and kind. To love the ocean is to love what makes us human: our ability to care and give and create, but also our imperfections and shadows and fear. The lessons we learn from our beloved coast never stop. Each time we visit the beach we are better for it. May we respect our beaches, respect one another, and respect ourselves.

The Chakra Drop

How do we find balance? It's often only once we've gone off course and become *unbalanced* that we dig out the compass to navigate home again.

In our world today, it's all too easy to lose our way, and sometimes encouraged because of so-called societal norms. For example, if we're not glued to our iPhones in public, heads and necks and spines cocked downward as if the phones were an extension of our hands, people will think you're odd for looking around and doing nothing. It's not until you go to zoom in on a photo in real life with your fingers that you realize that yes, perhaps it's time to give the ol' phone a break.

Now that we've admitted the problem, the imbalance, we can go in and make the internal switch. By changing our habits, setting goals, having rewards, breathing fresh air, allowing support from family and friends, we can truly design a life we love. Sometimes we don't even realize how much better this could all be.

To assist in seeking balance, wearing the color of the chakra you'd like to open can help! This collection is dedicated to the colors of the sacred energy channels within the body, and all the healing that comes along with tending to them. Peace to you, my dear friend, and all the love.

The Elements Drop

We are held by the four elements at all times: by Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. These ingredients sustain us and give us life, and beyond that-- our bodies and hearts are literally MADE from them. Some of us feel more connected to one element than the others, perhaps to the one related to our Sun Sign, and others of us feel a call from another element to balance us out.

EARTH: For grounding and returning to the Mother, to the joy in having our basic needs met. Without earth, we would have no soil to nourish us. Earth is ruled by Saturn, and the Zodiac signs are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn.

WATER: For purification, soothing, and cleansing. Without water there would be no flowers, no trees, no life. Water is ruled by Venus, and the Zodiac signs are Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio.

AIR: For creativity, inner knowing, and wisdom. Without air we would not be human; we would not have the intelligence to look beyond this world. Air is ruled by Jupiter, and the Zodiac signs are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.

FIRE: For transformation, evolution, and loving warm energy. Without fire we would have no love and no ability to grow and change. Fire is ruled by Mars, and the Zodiac signs are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.

The Harvest

Soaking up the waning sunshine, smelling the phlox and goldenrod, gazing at the abundant greens of the trees, and of course gathering and sharing all the food we've grown (or stocking up at the local farmstand!). These days grow shorter, but our hearts grow warmer as we take stock of all the abundance of summer within our bodies, within our breath, and within our spirit. The Hygge Drop

This time of year is a lot of different things- warmth, happiness, abundance, but also pain, loneliness, and another year gone for some folks. I love Christmas with my family, but I totally get it's not this way for everyone. Our culture makes it extremely easy to commercialize Christmas and leave us wondering what we're missing. What I'm choosing to focus on mostly this season is hygge (pronounced hoo-gah or hue-gah)- "the Danish word for a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture)". Ok, kinda a mouthful there, however this feels true to my soul. When the days are shorter and darker, we can generate our own warmth and light from within. I designed this collection to be what I imagine the spirit of hygge to be. Prints with the sun and evergreens so we can remember the sun will return at the winter solstice. Grays and browns and black, but with a twinkle of some golden magic. Lack of color at this time of year can be so soothing on the eyes. The air outside is quiet. It is my hope that these pieces make you feel that well-being and contentment that is totally independent of our outside environment. It comes from our warmth, light, and love within. ✨

The Little Things

I think one of the most beautiful things about this time of year, when autumn fades into winter, is the return to simple things for happiness. Without an abundance of sunshine and flowers and all the obvious pleasures that come with warmth, we have to turn to ourselves. We have to make our own light. And this light always comes from the little things: a cup of tea, a hug, a moment of sunshine flooding in low from the window, layering up to go and play outside just so you can come back in and get warm again, a fire, a candle, a book under a blanket. I love winter and the introspection that comes along with it. It balances me, it makes me whole. I remember nothing can bloom all year, and I'm glad to return to my roots. The prints and colors in this drop are dedicated to the little things that are really the big things.

A portion of sales from The Little Things Drop is being donated to Friendly Hands Food Bank. FHFB is the largest food bank in northwest CT, where I live, and has been fighting food insecurity for the past 30 years.
