There is no plant like cannabis. Dating back 5,000 years ago, this sacred herb is used for rituals, medicine, anointing oils, and spiritual enlightenment. Before the war on drugs in the US, this blessed plant was grown and used on every continent. This is not to say it wasn't controversial back in the day. Whenever the oppressed or lower class would begin to embrace marijuana use, the powers that be would crack down on it, fearing it would dismantle society as we know it. Since its beginning, hemp has been attempted to be controlled. The history of herb tells us that prohibitions are ALWAYS imposed by the ruling class, i.e. men and the patriarchy. As women we need access to natural and alternative healing, and something as powerful as cannabis is our right to be claimed.
